Objectives
1. To organize journalists in the infrastructure and development sectors in order to increase their capacity for professionalization and empowerment.
2. Coordination and collaboration with agencies involved in infrastructure and development.
3. In the field of infrastructure and development, Active journalists will serve as a watchdog for the publication, broadcasting, and enforcement of ordinary citizens’ information rights at the government, non-government, private sector, and community levels.
4. Frontline and development sector work, media worker efficiency, growth promotion work, and social security work.
5. Advocating for and making recommendations on infrastructure and development policy.
6. Collaborate on journalism by studying and researching in the field of infrastructure and development.
7. In the field of infrastructure and development, conduct programs such as training for creative journalists, seminars, interactive debates, etc. Also providing fellowship to active journalists.
8. To raise public awareness about infrastructure and development, document production for electronic and print media, program production, etc., should be done with the approval and permission of the relevant agencies.
9. Creating publications such as infrastructure and development brochures and diaries.
10. To honor journalists, experts and others who contribute to the society by being active in the field of infrastructure and development.
Organization’s activities
1. An interaction program was held in Chaitra 2078 between SIJ-Nepal and Minister of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation Pampha Bhusal.
2. On Chaitra 13, 2078, an interaction program was held between Infrastructure Journalist and Urban Development Minister Ram Kumari Jhankri.
3. An interaction program was held between Infrastructure Journalist and Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Mohammad Istiyak Rai.
4. SIJ-Nepal interacted and discussed with the Development and Technology Committee of the House of Representatives and the Sustainable Development and Concerns Committee of the National Assembly.
